Anyone know of a place that still has stock of older Lapua and Eley ammo?

Looking in particular for Scoremax...

Time to start talking with the dealers that supply the target shooters, to see if they know anyone that knows anyone that... Well, you get the picture.

Some of the dealers that sell the target stuff are pretty much operating out of their garages and basements anyways. The more of them you can reach, the better the odds that someone will have a contact.

That's where I'd start, anyway.

Why? Not much point in knowing that you can never get another box of the 'perfect' ammo, is there?

Cheers

Try Peter Krause at Targetshootingproducts.com - North Sylva or
Peter Dobson at Hirsch Precision or
Paul Reibin at Rangesports Unlimited in Kamloops,BC 250-372-7030

I have some that I tried but it didn't shine for me ,so I went back to ammo with a standard weight (40grn) bullet.

Thanks Dryfire, I wasn't aware of the third one.

This is for precision matches, not plinking. 4 boxes of anything is enough to evaluate it and use it in a match. If it's good, you only go through 2 boxes and a bit in a match. A brick or two can last a season if its reserved for match use only.

Oh, I do...

I was just hoping someone knew of some small shop out there that a a bunch of it sitting on the shelf. That's how Speedjunkiesracing found the stuff originally. A lot of that older stuff shoots really, really well for some reason.
