Source for IDPA targets in Canada?

At present Tenda is advertising a product that appears to be actually USPSA/IPSC metric rather than official IDPA.

I got a reply from Tenda. The Tenda representative confirmed that the product for sale is actually the official IDPA target.

Thanks Tenda!

That would be great, except they haven't answered that same question on fheir forum. And the advertised photo does raise the question.

As long as every competitor in a given match is shooting at the same targets what difference does it make if argets dimensions are slightly different?

Exactly. But from what I have seen, and not much experience, if you had an IDPA target at an IPSC match there are some that would scream that they sky is falling! It's just a piece of cardboard, get over it!

True.

It's just a piece of cardboard, get over it!

Its no big deal if you don't care too much about the rules of the game you're playing, that's certainly true.

Are you saying that the organizers of an 'IPSC' match should be free to use the old IPSC 'Metric' target, so long as every competitor in the given 'IPSC' match is shooting at the same 'Metric' target?

Well, I have placed an order from Tenda. They'll either deliver official IDPA targets - which I expect - or they'll be taking them back (after paying for cross-country shipping, twice).

Let us know how it goes. When you're buying for a club (as I am), its not really feasible to spend the money in advance and hope for the best.

Why not contact the POC. Ken should be able to tell you who the three authorized IDPA target suppliers are in Canada. The ATHL out of Calgary is one and there is an outlet in Kingston, ON. Not sure where the third is but it seems to me it is in Ontario as well.

Take Care

The gigantic A-zone of the USPSA targets will make me feel better when I can still flinch and snag the bottom of the A. lol!
