well i suggest you look on the net for reenactment groups that do ww1, there are supplies who make uniforms for all conflicts, i have a confederate uniform.

6'2" and a fairly solid 250lbs - having browsed through the attestation papers, I don't think there was an original uniform made that would fit me.

Great War Militaria http://www.greatwar.com/scripts/default.asp of Chambersburg, PA does replica World War One uniforms. Click on their British section, reproduction uniforms, page 2, item RPB013 Pattern '07 Service Tunic. Available in Canadian 7 button style.

Not cheap, but well made and available in large sizes.

Google 'The Replicators' out of Pakistan. They tailor make pretty much any uniform and can work from photographs. Not overly expensive either.

I've been doing some digging on them - some say they're decent, but there seems to be quite a few that say they make nothing but junk. Anybody order from them? The price does seem right.

Many of the Canadians in WW1 threw away their uniforms and "recycled" British ones, because the Brit uniforms had a fuller cut. Canadian uniforms were nearly skin tight, and very uncomfortable. Keep that in mind, could save some $$$ because the Brit uniform is probably easier to find.

bought a few small rems they are not good ...............either hit or theuy totally screw up i would recommend the other sellers mentioned from the usa /canada

I ordered a custom made uniform from the Replicaters about six weeks ago, should be here in the next couple weeks. Will let you know what kind of quality I get. One thing with them was that the communication was good......we'll see how the result is.

in my case they replyed promptly to every email.........then when parcel arrives they had sent the wrong item (ww2 german tunic eagle but sent a crappy hat eagle )
when i then tried to contact them i got no reply no refund ..........as i said either they hit it /do a great job ...............or its crap ...........many re-enactors i have dealt with have had same mixed results ........
