Source for short Mossberg 500 barrels?

I'm sorry if I'm missing this in all the searches I've done. An opportunity has presented itself for me to buy a nice Mossberg 500 Lakefield for cheap. It's beautiful, but I don't hunt and don't want a 28" barrel. I know I could chop it down to 18.5" legally, but I'd really like a 15" barrel so I could have the barrel flush with the end of the mag tube. Any ideas? Thanks!
 
What about changing the mag tube out for a longer one? This one would allow you to cut the barrel to 20" and be flush with the end of the mag tube.
 
Good luck finding a barrel shorter than 18.5" here in Canada. The 14" barrels haven't seemed to ship over here for a few years. Irunguns is trying to bring some in... no word on if they have been approved. Then again, those are 590A1 shotguns and barrels which I don't think will fit your 500.
 
Having a barrel less than 18" on a pump shotgun is not illegal, but chopping a 28" down to 18 is. Whatever is stamped on the barrel is what it must stay at, it has to be left factory to remain legal.
 
Turkinator you are wrong. It is completely legal to cut a his pump shotgun barrel to 18 inches, most people cut them to 18.5" just to stay on the safe side. Only Barrels less than 18 inches for shotguns have to be factory made.
 
Ask mods for permission to view Equipment and Exchange portion of this forum, look in shotgun parts section. You can also try Ellwood Epps they used to have a good selection of used barrels.
