The stuff is not easy to find. Where do you buy your shotshell reloading powders?

I have been looking for some 700x for a long time.

I had one guy in BC that offered me a 1lb can unopened and I foolishly said no because I didn't want to ship it.

Higginson Powders shows 700X as in stock on their website (assuming that the site info is up to date). Have you tried Hummason?

Places like Higginson's and Hummason's seem to be getting small amounts of shotgun powder in every month or so, just have to keep your eyes open.

Hummasons has 700x... Seems to be the most available- I think the pistol guys don't use it as much. Give them a call a day or two before you go.

?? I talk to them on a regular basis. I guess I am just missing it because they didn't have any yesterday.

The problem is that a lot of shotgun powders are also usable for handgun cartridges so the handgun shooters are grabbing them up as well as the shotgunners. Most rifle powders are only good for rifle and sometimes only for a limited selection of calibres so there may not be as many people looking for them, hence maybe a little more available supply. I don't think any powders are available in abundance at the moment, however.

-Considering that 700X is made about a half hours drive east of Higginson, then shipped to the USA, decanted into 1lb containers and shipped back to Canada, the question is: why don't some of our loyal Canadian retailers and wholesalers either import Euro powders or buy a few rail car loads from G Dot and go into the powder distribution business?

700x works quite well in a 12Ga for reloading, pretty clean powder.
