Hi there. Just wondering where one could find a cheap 3-56 front sight bead for an old Cooey 84 12ga. New or used, doesn't matter to me. The one on the gun is pretty beat up and bent so would like to replace it. Cabelas has beads listed for $14, but would like to see if I could just find a cheap standard bead first. Also, any local gunshows are done for the season too. Thank you.

OMG if a Cabela's bead at $14 isn't cheap enough for you may you step on a land mine that was placed there by a gunsmith.

Thanks for being so helpful. If you don't have anything to say related to my question, please refrain. It isn't the $14, but rather wanting an original style bead, and not a fiberoptic. Was looking for possible leads as to where I can buy one in Canada.

Ok I will try to be a little more helpful this time. To the best of my knowledge the 3X56 beads that were used toward the end of Cooey's production were made from hexagonal stock and as such had a hex head shoulder that would butt up against the barrel, the older ones were just a regular round bead. Your obvious source for a standard bead would be Brownells Inc (State side) or for the newer bead perhaps WGP in Edmonton. Both retailers will be over the $14 you mention for Cabelas, sniff around the gun show tables or go to your local gunsmith you might shave a few shillings off. Good Luck. D.H.

Place a WTB advert in the EE under Shotgun section, maybe youll find the Unicorn your looking for.

Yes because there is a member here that has a collection of various vintage beads to sell I just cannot remember his handle
Mind you I don't think it will be less than 14 bucks
Cheers

Great. Thank you all for the help and leads. Now to go sniff them all out. As gunshow season is dwindling down here, I may wait till the big one here next spring. I have now run into a dillema with my shotgun now. I will be starting a new topic on this later or possibly tomorrow. Off to look at the leads provided now. Thanks again.
