Source for Talley lightweight rings

I've searched and came up empty as far as proper installation, and there was no instruction included with the rings. I'd like to get advice on proper installation including what I should torque the mount screws and ring screws to.
In my searches I've noticed a couple of different ways people have them installed as seen in the pics below

I had the exact same problem when I mounted my talleys. The back one can really only go one direction but the front one, for me anyways, seem like it would only logically fit on way as well due to the scope I used. From the pictures above, it looks like they fit either way.

Talleys are also available from any dealer that sells Weatherbys.
Weatherby markets a set of rings that fit the Vanguard and the Mk V...these are Talleys by another name.....and they will fit a Rem 700.

It's a spacing/scope issue, and either one will go either direction.
