Hi, i have two friends, which are looking for specific 1911 9mm mags but cannot find them.
If anyone could point me where i could find either MetalForm 10 rounders with removable basepad, or Dawson Precision 10 rounders with removable basepad (they are rebranded metalforms with a DP sticker and a bigger basepad)

Metalform are okay for the casual shooter but for ipsc, they won't last very long. They should invest into quality mags like some Wilson combat or Tripp research. They won't rust and the basepad will last forever.

I run tripp in 40 right now, they work very well, but thats because my brand new STI which wasnt fitted properly was brought to a smith.
Metalform kinda make the bullet jump right into the chamber. So even if the barrel is poorly fitted, they will feed better.
No wonder STI have MetalForm as a factory mag.

I will have to say, i ran metalform myself in 9mm for 1 year, 10K+ rounds, never had a failure. Kept them clean and dry, thats about it. Thats ipsc use, they fell on concrete many times, not one had a crack in the basepad.

Harry, i am running tripp in 40, and still using their factory basepad. Will look into DP basepad for myself might be worth it.

Bump, if anyone has a leed as to where find a 10 rounder 9mm metalform mag with removable basepad, my buddy could start shooting his classic gun
