Hey cgn! Running into an issue with an AR build. The two I built previously used low profile gas blocks so i never had this issue.

I plan on building an upper with a magpul moe handguard. Does the front of the handguard mount to a specific type of fsp or is there a 'washer' type jobby I need to mount to the barrel for it to mount on? Where do I find one? Pardon the noob question and thanks in advance!

On normal front sight posts there's a "hand guard cap" that the plastic handguards hinge into. Also on the railed style gas blocks ( in place of the front sight post) like you find on some factory bushmasters and DPms rifles have these handguard caps as well. Then obviously you need a delta ring assembley by the receiver/ on the barrel nut.

you need one of these up front

and one these at the back

Awsome, thanks to you both! I knew the delta ring/barrel nut assembly but wasn't sure the proper name of the hand guard cap or if was even a separate part to the front sight base. Ha! Now that I know what to search for its much easier to find...now to find one in stock...and a front sight base.
