Sourcing a scope mount for a Savage 340

So, I have a lovely Savage 340 en route to me. It's drilled and tapped, but not coming with a scope mount. Anyone know where to find one in Canada? Advice appreciated!
 
Amazon.ca is likely your easiest source. Mounts suitable for the 340 are listed on the site. If not there, try Brownell's.
 
The Weaver 2-piece mount is very common and works well, WSS, Cabelas, Basspro or just about any gun store could get it for you no problem.
 
I had a hard time finding anything in canada a few years ago when i was looking, but i found i liked the B-square mount the best, uses regular weaver bases and is small/less clunky than most others.

Williams Firesights makes a good side mount and they would be my #2 choice and they ship to canada no problem. The weaver setup would be my last choice of the three, it just seems more clunky and more likely to come apart to me.

My problem was finding someone who would ship the Bsquare mount to canada. It didn't seem like it was an ITAR/Exporting issue, but that at the time Bsquare had given sole rights to canada to one company who doesn't reply to emails or care about selling those products, so the american companies just wouldn't ship them here.

Did you finally locate a B Square in Canada?

I've been waiting to stumble across one for literally years. I don't do Amazon or eBay.

I never did find a shop selling it, but i found one "used" that someone had, but their rifle was drilled with a different bolt spacing. It sounded like the previous owner just drilled and tapped for a different side mount that he had from a different rifle.

I even tried amazon and like usual half of the stuff they have on there they won't ship to canada, i never saw anything at the time on Ebay.
 
I emailed a buddy to see if his buddy (a smith) can help out with the B-square mount. He got me one for my 30M1 a while back. Might hear from him in a bit.
