Sourcing Glock Parts Kits in Canada

That is strange. I could have sworn the Brownells site hasn't let me ship Glock OEM for quite a while. I guess it's always worth checking.

I don't know the ins and outs of the US PO box solution, but I'd for sure want to be careful to look in to the US export regulations on gun parts. CDN import side as well, just to be sure, but I've heard it's the US export side that can get you.
Absolutely look into this on your own. I will never offer legal advice to anyone. Other options are numrich, irunguns, ##### armoury (though stupid expensive), the glock store used to ship to Canada, not sure if they still do.

Hello CGN,

I am trying to source complete upper and lower OEM parts kits for my Glocks. One is an older Gen 2 G17 so that may be hard to source. Is there any place in Canada that would have these available? If not, does anyone have any experience importing these from the US?

Thank you.
I have affordable Glock lower parts kits if you'd like to pm me. Be careful how you deal with any ITAR item coming from the USA to Canada.

New OEM Glock lower parts are not controlled under the ITAR, they are regulated by the Commerce Department, Military surplus and possibly G18 parts may or may not be Controlled under the ITAR.

Interesting to know, although from what I have noticed for the past 5 or so years is that a lot of the time the parts get confiscated or sometimes even let in purposely by CBSA and are brought to attention of other agencies all along the chain. Once that happens they do a 6month-24month investigation and usually come knocking and taking all your things and leaving a huge bill since you have to get a lawyer to clear it all up in court. Everything's a flip of the coin, I'm just stating what I have been reading and analyzing a year prior to C21 and up till now. Stay safe with that stuff cause all it takes is one uneducated individual to change your entire life. If its not an ITAR item I know a couple dozen guys back in the states that could keep an eye out for an OEM glock LPK and buy it then have it shipped to me or directly to you, I can help in that way if you 100 percent want an OEM setup, otherwise I also have aftermarket lpks that have the same dimensions and clearances. Its your call on either and I'm here to accommodate and help with whichever you choose.

I'm not sure you understand the American export process, the Canadian import process or who the OP in this thread is. You should continue reading starting with this article from nearly 5 years ago https://borderview.com/goodbye-itar/ and then https://www.bis.doc.gov/index.php/documents/regulations-docs/142-eccn-pdf/file . Can you please provide a docket number or some other reference for one of these purported Canadian court cases involving import/export with the proper paperwork?

Got it, I had it wrong, I didn't know about the recent changes with the fees and a few other rule changes, but you are right that it still has to be exported properly with paperwork from a USA exporter and cant just be sent from individual to individual as I thought. As for majority of articles I have read, they don't mention anything about the parts being properly imported into Canada from the states so I assume they were sent with false descriptions and hidden with other items etc. That's what must have caused the violations, investigations, and finally arrests I'm reading about every few months or so via rcmp, cbsa, and law enforcement channels.

At this point in time if you do not have a Glock pistol registered to your name and import Glock internal pistol parts (not external accessories) I would expect your name to be added to a watch list of some sort, regardless of the controlled or regulated status of the parts. If you have an example of investigations or arrests involving Glock parts that does not also involve the manufacture of a a firearm I'd love to see it.

When I get time next week I'll find the appropriate forum and start posting all the links I can find regarding arrests and investigations directly related to importing parts. Also it doesn't mean you have immunity from doing so just because you legally own glocks and an rpal or even exemptions, they look into everyone. There have been dozens involved since covid in manufacturing using parts kits, rails kits, slides etc. or passing those onto others that will. Canada barely has the population of a single US state, don't think that just because someone has a rpal, import paperwork, etc. that the rcmp, cbsa, csis etc. wont look into your activities and keep notes. At this point I would not be shocked even a bit if they have tabs on most pal and rpal owners especially with C21 and there failing confiscation.

they have tabs on most pal and rpal owners.
Every licensing system keeps tabs on its participants. "They" can use your marriage license to wring you out if they really want to. But who is they/them tho?
People that already own Glocks and are buying spare parts would need to import industrial amounts of parts to get put on a NEW list.
Weird vibes friend.

Have you tried RDSC (Red Deer Shooting Center) ?
