not sure if i asked this already but i couldnt find my post so ill assume i never made it
regarding a dewated ak74
given the police pressing charges against folk for having ....pretty much anything that looks like a gun.... as a "prohibited replica firearm" would there not be legal ramifications for having a firearm that looks like a real firearm, exact model and type, that firers a prejectile 0 FPS (ie not at all)?
Ive heard that said gun that fires a projectile under 495FPS but greater than 0FPS is not a "prohibited replica" (but even this is tricky now with that judge ruling that non-firearm pellet guns are firearms........ or trying to, I think Solomon Friedman is on that one).
Damn stupid laws.
Where this WAS a prohibited firearm and made into a non firearm what are the "rules" (official and otherwise, ie what theyll press charges for even if you are NOT breaking the law) regarding dewatted prohibited firearms?
I'd like to be able to have something like this on display etc inside a home but I'd be worried about all the confusing as heck laws and their even more confusing areas where charges are pressed when no law was broken.
a PM on this will do.......i dont want to derail anything here.
