The way I read it the comment was not directed at Marstar. I think that he was just referring to the other poster's offer to give somebody a deposit for an early SVT out of their combo which could leave him open to getting the wrong rifle or even no rifle at all. Just some friendly advice that it's better for the seller to have goods in hand before brokering any deal to purchase.

I also was not asked which version of SVT I wanted, although to be fair my transaction is still ongoing. I assumed I'd get what I get and be happy (which I would be!). I'm not aware of the differences other than what wood the stock is made of.

Just got my total confirmation now.
Johnone, I too called my order in amd was not asked if I wanted and early/late model anything. Its alright as it doesnt really matter to me but maybe talk with the people who take orders over the phone so next time I call in for an order then can specify a bit better.

Not everything is about you. I was speaking to the other poster offering money for something that it would appear most people aren't even sure they are getting. In thus case an early or late svt as not everyone made a specific request.
The potential swindle would be a third party jumping at the chance to take the posters quick offer at a down payment on the private sale of an early svt.
EE fraud advice warns of same.

I had a dewat FN FAL that sold pretty quickly on the EE. IIRC I took an SKS-D on trade for it along with a couple hundred bucks, so there is a market for dewats.
I place my order at 15:15 the days you publish the Ak74 combo deal.... With a guys speaking in english....
I call thursday oct 31... Around 15:00 15:30... Talked with a french guy.... Asking him if i can order a early version... And he say its impossile.... So...
Honnestly, nothing against them... Very good guys... And very polite... .. I understand thing change fast and its not easy to deal with everything......But i would like an early one (Svt).... I will send you email at john@marstar.ca with all my info

I got my order in before the cut off. Got this one on a whim, but overall I think it is going to work out great.
