Soviet combo deal with a free ak-74

Good idea but where to get some of this ammo?

Im waiting on my Cobet/Ussr flag for the backing.
I usually see some at gun shows around. I bought one round just for the collection. Not sure but I think the sellers were selling them singly.
If I'm paying a grand for a dewat I'd be getting an ak 47, so much history and a nice looking silhouette.
I hummed & hawed on this deal for about an hour when I saw the thread and finally pulled out the card and justified the expenses I was about to place on it to the wife. Then I found out I was WAY too late, by a long shot. BOOO-URNS!

in mother russia, the combo buy you!

once payment was processed on the fri the 22nd, it arrived mon 25th

All looks good. Did it all get shipped in the sweet gun crate?

Why would anyone sell it for $500 when people are buying them for $1000 or more????

I'll still stick with my original estimate of these dewats settling in with a selling price the $600-$700 range over the short term. It still remains to be seen how many Marstar sold and I suspect the number is larger than many people think. The market for wall hangers is somewhat finite, so it is simple supply and demand. I've bought & sold dewats in the past and from my experience the novelty for many people wears thin pretty quickly so you can be sure more will pop up on the EE as time goes on and the CC bills come rolling in. audetnelson1 may just own one for 500 bucks sooner than you think.

^^Lol

Not from me as I sold mine for 850 no problem.

That's alright. However if the $850 included insured shipping then you are getting close to being in the 7's with your sale price. Not much of a stretch from there to get into the range I'm talking about. If I'm not mistaken you did drop a couple hundred off of your asking price to make it move though?

Regardless, more of these will surface and the price will drop further, just wait for it. It'll take some time, but it will happen. Now if Marstar comes out with another dewat deal (which is quite possible - remember those FB pics), that would most likely accelerate the settling of dewat AK74 pricing.

Actually no I didn't drop it at all, don't know what post your were looking at.
How is shipping and insurance a $100???
Not even when I shipped a 15lb Ai rifle out west was it that much. Not to mention the buyer live 20 min from me :)

I never said anything about $100. However, if you do the math, at a selling price of $850 it would only have to cost you $50.01 for the shipping and insurance to put you into the 7's. Several times I've shipped stuff from Ontario to BC via Expedited parcel with insurance and the signature requirement that has set me back more than 50 dollars. Local deals are always the best though.

sold AK and 7.62x39 ammo.

Grand total $281.45 for SVT-40, SKS, TT-33, 880 rounds of 7.62x54r!!!

Of the total amount, shipping / tax was $299 lol

Thanks marstar. wish I bought 2 combos so I could keep an extra AK for myself

I have a bayonet and sling on mine. Whoever has one and dumps it I think could eventually regret it.
Now if you have one, or want one, go check out 9th Company and see these in action.
