I love shooting the SP-01, however even though its stock, even though its carried, and even though it makes the required wieght, I am told that it can not be used in ESP as it is !
I have no Idea why, maybe because Angus Hobdell kicked everyones ass with it, IDPA had to find a reason not to shoot it..
Now to be serious, I have no reason why its not or I can not find it in the IDPA rules why its not ok, its only 41.6 oz and IDPA rules for ESP claims 43 to be the max.
Can anyone please tell me where teh rule states this and why this gun is not legal, I know it has a full lenght dust cover, but so does a glock, and MP-9!!!
Seems like this gun is being picked on by IDPA for some reason..
It can be modified to shave 2 oz off the wieght and make 39 oz just by changing the grips and hammer.
It just does not seem right! to mod.. a gun to shoot ESP when the rules are so unclear

is all the modifications to reduce the wieght which is a piece of cake talking to the right people, and for 60 bucks its done! But all the wieght mods that are allowed or done at the opposite end of the gun!!!! I accept the rules as they are but its kinda silly.
