any one have a detailed take-down instructions. I know very little about this gun. I want to remove the mag release, and put it on the other side. I also want to find out what the extra main spring is that came with it...???? is it heavier or lighter....?
Is changing out the main spring a PITA?

OK, changed the main spring out. The gold or brass colored one is in it now. Two came with it, one is silver or metal colored, and the other is gold

Gold colour mainspring . From where did you order the springs from?

it came in the box the gun came in. I am assuming one is lighter than the other that was already in the pistol.
After removing the oil and applying some slide glide lite, and a little dryfire, it is getting a little smoother. Changed the mag release to the right side (so the user can use trigger finger to press release). The mags were a little sticky, but I assume they drop free better after a while.
Out of the box, my USP with a well used match trigger had a better trigger for sure in DA. The SA from the Shadow has a better trigger than my HK, and breaks with less weight than my Edge.

Feels comfortable in the hand, and the mag well looks much more friendly than my HK.

Maurice, give us a range report on your Shadow when you are able. If your mags are sticking a little, make sure you clean off all that heavy shipping oil that CZ uses on the gun and mags.

Yeah, I noticed the whole thing was dripping oil (gun and mags). After a few runs with the mags I noticed where the mag catch was scratching against the mag body and dropped easier.
Really got to get some thinner grips. Anyone know if they are sold local? My son loves the SA, but is having a hard time withe DA, especially the reach.

I have a rule question about this version of the Sp01 shadow:

When this particular pistol is manually decocked, does the hammer have to go down all the way, so the hammer is resting at the firing pin, or does it go to the notch distance. MY hk has a decocker, and using that is goes to the notch, which does not allow it to rest on the pin. If I manually decock the hammer, and can press the trigger and allow the hammer to travel a little, then release the trigger, and it goes to the same position; BUT, if I allow it, the hammer can be lowered all the way against the firing pin.

In production, the hammer must be down all the way on the Shadow. First shot attempted must be D/A. On the HK you can use the decocker to lower the hammer.

I realize that, but technically that is hammer down, DA. What I am saying is that there are 2 DA positions.

GOD,
I just came back from the Range with my son. only perhaps 300rds down range, but all with no problems,,,,,very accurate, very nice SA trigger. Recoil was minimal. Can't believe how much the recoil difference between this and my HK. WEll, I love the HK, but I must admit, I am definitely going to be rethinking my options about what to retire it for,.....the Shadow or the Stock 2.:D

Yes & no. CZ75, 85, SP01, and Shadow with a standard safety the hammer must be all the way down. Not just to the safety notch. Pistols with a decocker such as the SP01 tactical, where ever the decocker leaves the hammer you are good to go. I know that is splitting hairs but those are the rules. Sorry omen, I did not intend to hijack your thread. Back on topic please.
