I couldn't find a thread so I thought I'd just make one. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these new 4.2" 0.357 Ruger SP-101s. Found some pics of one with custom grips that some dude posted on rugerforum.com. Wow.

I've wanted a revolver forever but never could bring myself to buy one. Well, as a student, I have trouble justifying any firearms purchases. Anyways, my buddy's got a 686 and a GP-100 and, while the Smith feels good in my hand, I find them both just a little too large to operate comfortably. Kudos to Ruger for giving us Canadians something that fits the bill.

I know it's been discussed but I'm not on top of these things... Does anyone have any idea of when they're being shipped to Canada? Plz don't flame me.

Bring it on, I sold my .357 a few months ago and have been craving another ever since. THis would be a beauty to have. Anyone have an idea of price ?

The GP100 stainless is listed on the Ruger site for $750 MSRP, and it sells for about $650 in Canada. The SP101 is listed at $690 MSRP, so hopefully in stores known for fair pricing it'll be a $590 revolver. The Ruger SR9's MSRP is $530, and I got mine the other day for $459...hopefully the trend of $70 to $100 off Ruger MSRP continues in Canada. The Yanks have it even better, I've seen the SR9 online at a US store for $398.
