Some older gent offers it to me at work in barter, am I supposed to act like a knob (one of you) and ask for a bunch of pictures and ask if it is good, or good+, how many rounds fired?

Some posters here including me did answer your question with the condition that the estimate was qualified by not seeing the gun itself or pictures of it.

But speaking of knobs, people get tired of those too lazy to do their own research and expect members here answer their questions.
