I picked up this little interesting 7 x 57 Mauser from a Gun Show on the weekend. The bore had about 30 years of dust and crap, but you could still see some shine to it. I went to town on the bore, and managed to get it looking pretty good. I also spent time with some oil and fine steel wool on the metal. I took it out to the range yesterday and it actually shot a lot better then I expected. It felt great to actually get her shooting again after god knows how long...If she could only talk. Unfortunately, someone has added williams sights to it, and it shoots really low, but once I get that straightened out I will have a handy truck/bush gun for $90.
