Just on an American forum, read about Armusa shotgun shells 2.5 inch length in several gauges selling in US. Mild loads, great for older short chambered guns. Prices in US were great, $145 us for 250 rounds.
Wondering if anyone carries them in Canada. They have great reviews on shotgun forum.

Just curious why you like the 145 us price? $205.00 per flat is $60.00 more then buying win or challenger by the box. Is there something special about them? Remington gun club are only 120 a case buying by the 25 rd box.

Are you comparing the 2.5" Mike mentions to 2.75" gun club ammo?

Maybe $205CDN is a good price compared to other 2.5" 12ga offered in Canada.

45 at Reliable and I bought 4 boxes earlier this year for 39 but shipping etc I guess would run it up

At the time I bought mine everyone was out of stock. Ordered from Kent Direct.ca. Good service, fast shipping but not cheap. RST loads 2 1/2 for old guns but seem hard to find in canada.

I’ve always wondered on the specs of s&b practical buckshot. The shells are 2.5”
I bought a case of em a while ago price was decent. It’s not the greatest ammo. Had poor luck in most semis with it. But my m4 clone loves it. But in my pumps and break actions always left unbutnned powder behind and felt underpowered.

Since when can you purchase low pressure 2-1/2" loads from Challenger or Winchester? There are many older shotguns that won't function safely with modern 2-3/4" loads.

2.5 inch apperantly u missed that it's not always about price

I was told Prophet River has them sometimes but not listed at present.

I've said this before but it's worth mentioning again. When I decided to shoot vintage guns with short chambers and requiring low pressure levels, I quickly realized these kinds of shells were not always readily available. And seeing as I don't reload, I needed to come up with a solution to that problem. Now, I only occasionally shoot clays or waterfowl. The vast majority of my shooting is upland hunting. So I started buying ammo when I saw it in the right size and load, especially at what seemed a good price. I did it over time so the financial burden was mitigated somewhat. But I now have 1000s of rounds in whatever gauge, load and shotsize I might decide I want to use. I could easily go 5 years without buying anything and not be short. I shoot 4 different gauges and the only one I'm light on is 28 because that is a relatively new gauge for me.

The only solution to the pressure/short chamber issue is inventory.
