Spanish SXS firing both bbls at once.... help

I have an an old beater 12G SXS with some sentimental value. Problem is, it is firing both bbls at once, last time it was used it fired both bbls by closing the action.

I have had it to 2 gunsmiths (or bubbas) that tried filing the sears but it only made it worse.

I doubt if the gun is worth anything but I would love to use it again, or at least give my brother (who owns it in spirit) some inspiration to get his PAL.

I'm sorry to say but my experience has been nothing but bad with Spanish steel. Soft sears and trigger problems seem to be the main complaint. I gave up trying to fix any Spanish gun many years ago.

That may have been true many years ago but the current production, higher-end guns from Spain don't suffer from those problems. I own a Spanish sxs that I've shot extensively, know several people who also own them and the quality of the steel is just fine.

That said the Spanish aren't known for single-selective triggers on their sxs. For that matter, even Purdey doesn't offer an SST on their sxs either. But as every true sxs fancier understands a double trigger is the only way to go.

Bubba broke your gun never file the mecknisims un less you have bult up the steel in all probibilty a part was to tight or to loose. I had the same truble once.
