Just ordered a weatherby vanguard DBM. It's a 30 06 and comes with just one clip......Thanks weatherby.

I assumed buying a spare would be as easy as dropping into the local gun shop.

I've googled a mag for this rifle, I've googled a mag for a Howa 1500 wich shares the same action.

All I find are short action (.22 and other calibers) and none for the 25 06, 270, 30 06 or long actions. Plus a ton of conversion.

I doubt any place in the lower mainland let alone Canada or the US have them.

Even on weatherby's site, they don't list spare mags. Their conversion kits are unavailable too.

If anyone knows where I can find one, pls let me know. I know the howa mags look tactical but I don't care which brand or kind it is. Just need a spare

I checked their website and the only thing they list is a conversion kit for the vanguard Which make the floor plate model a det box mag.

I'll call and check with them.

Thanks!

Weatherby Vanguard Detachable Magazine
3 round capacity. Fits: .25-06 Rem., .270 Win. and 30-06 Sprg. calibers. $55 backorderable

Suggest buying 2 for a total of 3. Good to have a long-term spare. Proprietary magazine availability has a nasty habit of vanishing.

You're right that's the mag I need. Looks like a minimum of 30 days thru back order. Makes me wish I went x bolt or t3 just for support. I love this rifle but getting a simple part to start with being this big a pain?

Yeah, if anyone's looking to buy a Vanguard, be prepared to be stuck with one 3 round mag for a while...

I don't even want to think about scope rings yet.

Hey guys, I was at Wanstalls in Maple Ridge BC the other day and spotted some Vangard DM conversion kits hanging on the wall. I know you are looking for the mags only but if you are in a hurry they have them for around $115. Plastic magazine 3 shot in .25-06, .30-06 and .270..... I am sure they can order some mags as well, they are a great bunch and always happy to help.

Just lost all taste for this. Made an error when I ordered it. It's the series 1, not the series 2 like I thought. I held the older series and it feels like a piece of cheap plastic . Gonna return it the first chance I get

Well, the sales final so I'm stuck with this rifle and what seems to be no customer support. Called Weatherby, Nothing. They don't make the magazines for it anymore. Took forever to get a hold of their "parts" guy, call got dropped 2x while holding for a half hour.

Cabellas shows 2 in stock, when I ordered them, they were spoken for, none in saskatoon, winnepeg despite what the computer shows. Cabellas USA is even worse, they don't carry anything weatherby.

Can anyone custom make one? I know it seems retarded, one magazine should be enough but a day in my shoes and you'ld know quickly why I need a spare.

Italian Sporting goods ordered me one after all of this BS. They also warned me that Weatherby's customer service has gone down hill.
I figured that.
So, even if I love this rifle and want to hang on to it forever, I'll still be plagued by lack of parts and a huge lack of customer service.
