Spare parts for Glock Gen4?

If you're going to do any action style shooting like ipsc or idpa then you will need extra magazines, holster, mag pouches/holders to start. You might want to look at polishing the trigger surfaces such as the connector, trigger bar, part of the firing pin, and firing pin block. Polishing will smooth the trigger pull and get rid of that grit feel. If you are annoyed by the sights, reverse the rear sight to black out the rear sight. I recently installed hiviz front fiber optics ($35 plus) and i like it...especially given the price. Otherwise i swear by warren tactical fiber optic sight sets(if you're willing to spend). Other than that the first thing that needs replacing is the recoil spring at around 7k rounds.

Might I ask where you purchased your front sight? Also is it the same height and width as the stock one?
If you are thinking about IPSC don't then don't change anything other than sights unless you wanna shoot non-production. I went through that road of dressing up my Glock17 with a whole bunch of blink blink but then have to take them all out when I need to use the gun for production 
If this is just a plinking gun you can leave it as it is (I strongly suggest you do this first) ... but these few items are good (not required but good to have):
level 1: which I think are kinda great add-on
1) Extended slide release
2) Extended slide lock
3) Metal mag release
4) Grip tape.
5) Sights. I added a HiViz front for $40. Good enough for me
But if you really wanna go crazy... read on
level 2: which improves trigger
1) Connector
2) Aftermarket safety plunger
3) Aftermarket guide rod (just don't get those expensive so called heavy rod but a SS rod is good upgrade).
level 3: nice to have if you have money
1) Aftermarket trigger (Zev and etc) -- I put this here is because after you get used to the Glock trigger it is not that bad
2) Aftermarket firing pin and springs
level 4: if you really have lots of money to burn
1) Custom slide
2) Magwell
3a) C-More sight mount + C-More sight
or
3b) Slide cut to do RMR
When you got to here you will start questioning why I just don't buy a Shadow2 in the first place... but OOPS too late!!! LOL

I got mine from al flahertys and the height is stock. There are other stores that sells them. So shop around. I just want to follow up with what i said earlier, the first things to go on a glock are the springs. Specifically the recoil spring and trigger return spring. The recoil spring is basically the only thing you need to change on a consistent basis. The rest are ok until they break. So you really have nothing to worry about.

Put 3000 rounds down the barrel, replace the recoil spring and shoot another 3000 rounds. Factor sights are the first thing I change out and then I just shoot it as it came. You can buy a complete parts kit for around 100 bucks if you want everything you might need.
Recoil springs are good for 5000 or more before needing replacement.
How do you tell when they need to be replaced? I might have close to that down the pipe on my G3 17.
With your pistol pointing up retract the slide and then walk it home. Just before the slide goes all the way forward let go, it should drag itself forward into battery. Kind of like when you field strip it and pull the slide back about 1/4 inch. Do that muzzle up the see if the slide will close on its own. If it closes you're good, if the slide won't return to battery it's time to change the spring. Or, replace the spring every year just to be safe. Depending on your average annual round consumption.
Who is the best supplier of G3 and G4 springs? Might pick up one of each to have on hand.

Only spare parts I got are OEM sights I removed, OEM guide rod assembly I replaced and the trigger and safety spring.
Pick your preferred vendor. Brownells, rock your Glock lone wolff, glock parts. Or find a Canadian source. I've found the US stores have stock and often lower prices than the Canadian ones.
