OK, for those of you who have got or are getting soon your Sparta stock, what do you plan on putting on your new stock for a sighting system? I am thinking BUIS along with some sort of lightweight optic. Would like to hear from those of you who are in the same situation and if you could share what your plans are to help me make a decision. Might not have thought of all the options.

I use a mini-14 so I am going to use the Specter Arms ARO (Advanced Reflex Optic) because of the built in drop compensator for 223.
 
Well since my Mini is in 6.8 SPC I have gone with a Redfield 3-9x40 matte finish. I want to shoot this thing past 150 yards since she is my new deer gun as well. I will post pictures when the stock is here.
 
hey drewz. that 6.8 looks like it shoots pretty good. have you got any deer with it yet? I find my mini-14(223) does more meat damage to deer than my 300 win mag. tends to detonate when it hits bone and the exit hole is like the size of a golf ball. I love huntin deer in the timber with my mini. the 6.8 looks like could be perfect deer round.

since I also hunt with my mini it has a scope. 3-12x40 cabellas tactical with bdc turrets for .223. the scope was cheep and you get what you pay for but the bdc turrets do work. (btw I don't recomend anyone waste there money on that scope)

anyone know of mid grade scope that has the bdc turrets for 223? something $250-500 range thats not a pos. I think I need a new scope to go with my sparta.

I shot my deer this year with a 6.8 spc but it was a robarms XCR. Not a ton of meat damage so when this mini came up I had to have it. 223 is cheaper but the 6.8 has some serious advantages to it. Ammo is also readily available locally. It is my deer gun for 2012!
