Spas 12

SPAS looks cool and thats about it. other then that they are heavy, bulky and have no add ons. Remington and Fabram are still the best, followed by mossberg only because you cant shorten barrels with out buying a new gun.

you want a heavy, semi reliable, prohib shotty, just because the 870 "doesn't fit"?? in what way does the spas 12 fit you better?

I think he was refering to the "look and character" of the said two firearms instead of actual physical fit with his body .

i was thinking the same thing, who gives a f**k if he's a newb, plays video games or likes prohibs? half the firearms i like are prohib and probably aren't the best out there, but thats not the point.

Take the attitudes elsewhere. CGN members should not have to have concerns about ridicule when asking perfectly valid questions.
Secondly, if someone is legally licensed to purchase and possess a given firearm, then what gives anyone else the right to say his reasons for wanting it are not good enough (this scenario should be ringing all sorts of bells for the handgun and black gun owners).

I didnt mean to be insulting, I have nothing against newbs or gamers or liking prohibited firearms, even the ugly spas 12. I love prohibited guns, I'm a Gamer,.. yes! and I was just trying to gather where he was comming from is all.
If you play any of the popular First person Shooters you will always... and I mean always see that Damn spas in there somewhere, I just wish that more shotguns would get recognition is all.

I realize my "ratio" is pretty off but come on guys I can remember wanting an SPAS-12. Why? Because of a now very old game called Rainbow Six.

Yeah its a piss off that we can't, don't even bother trying to grasp any logic out of our firearm regulations because there is very little.
If you do try, you will only end up grasping handfulls of your own hair instead .

So the SPAS 12 is a pumpable auto? Understand the concept since there is no 100% guarantee that a semi (or auto) will reload every time... seems easier to just pump it in the first place and save the weight/complications.

But, I also can't see it being more/less dangerous than a lot of non-restricted shotguns that are available. The whole system of restrictions make little sense...

I remember back in 1990 a french friend of mine bought one. We went hunting with another friend and I got to fire it off few times. It was so cool looking but heavy as people say. He went to shoot at a grouse and missed it, my other friend Steve said that the gun shouldn`t be called a franchi spas...the he was the frenchy spaz for buying a shotgun that was useless for hunting lmao

Even before Jurasic Park; back in 1984 the Terminator was wreaking havoc with his Spas-12!!! I can remember thinking that I absolutely MUST have one of those when I'm old enough...

I"ve used the SPAS 12 and I owned a Benelli M3 super 90(pump/auto combi)
The SPAS is an absolute pig to carry and use, the stock(folding)is uncomfortable and the whole thing is unweildy.The novelty quickly wears off.
The Benelli is better, easier to use and more reliable as an auto. I still gave the Benelli up for a lighter gun(a mossy 500 at the time) as it was just too heavy for what it was. I would"nt get a pump/auto again. The 870 gets my vote now, if I wanted a "tactical" bigger than something like a Defender, I would go for the Benelli M1 auto(like I should have done in the first place!)
There"s still no reason why anyone should"nt buy a SPAS just to bring out once in a while for the fun factor!
