Or, perhaps a C inside an ellipsoid (Chatellerault) with a late 19th century date under it. I have an M-91/27 rifle with a Tikka stepped barrel that has a New England Westinghouse receiver. Another is a 1926 Tikka barreled M-91 which has a Sestroryetsk 1917 receiver and I have a M-24 (Lotta rifle) which has a Böhler Stahl barrel with an Ishevsk receiver.Bittermansbro said:Its right by the screw hole at the rear of the receiver, on the underside. you will have to take the rifle apart to take a look. There may be only 3 numbers (instead of 4) as well there should either be a single arrow, a hammer or a Bow and arrow. Some may be hard to read, but if you have time, check it out, it would be interesting to see what make of reciever you have.
