I've always been a bit interested in the Ruger 77/22 in 22 Hornet, but I'm guessing more of these rifles probably exist in .22lr or 17HMR. However, you never hear/read about them on CGN. They are similar to a CZ 527 American and we all know CZs get lots of well-deserved press in here. :) Anybody here have a 77/22-series rifle and if so, how do you like it? Accurate?

Have one here, nicely made, rotary magazine that sits flush with the bottom of the stock is great. Allows for good hold at the balance point of the rifle. Haven't done a lot of shooting with it to attest to its accuracy, but from the few time I used it it seems accurate enough to do the job it was designed for.

I saw this a few years ago. Made by a company called Tactical Operations. Their version of a "Tactical .22lr"
It really caught my attention and I wanted to build one...until I found out how much and how some of the components are evil up here.

I think the biggest problem with the Ruger is that is doesn't have the exclusivity to justify it's price, like a Cooper does for example. A CZ FS will do everything it will do at half the cost.

That said, if stainless is your thing, the 77/22 RSI is a mighty handsome rifle...
