Several years back my son-in-law bought himself a Marlin .308 Express, which is a darned neat rifle that packs some good punch, very close to the .308 Win. Indeed, so much so that he had a Decelerator recoil pad installed to take the bite out of it.
The trigger basically sucked really bad, as is too common with Marlin lever guns. Lots of grating creep, took all the joy out of trying to shoot groups off the bench. Pretty much rotten.
We replaced it with the Happy Trigger from Wild West Guns, which we were able to have shipped up here from Brownells. Gunsmith installed it in no time at all. Or, if so inclined, the following article shows how to do it yourself...

I cannot emphasize enough what a difference this made to the rifle! Like night and day! Right around 3 to 3.5 lbs, zero creep, and as crisp as one could ever hope for...in any gun! Well worth every penny!
