Figure it out? I am pretty sure humans figured it out a long, long time ago that there are much better options than using spears. I suppose you'd be okay with people hunting big game with rocks too despite the high odds of wounding and low odds of a clean kill? I mean, if one guy wants to do it then we should all agree with it, right?
Please, enlighten me as to the number of non indigenous hunters who are currently using spears to hunt big game in Canada, specifically Alberta. I am not being argumentative, I honestly want to know the number of spear hunters out there.
Sure, anti's are part of the problem hunters face today. But, IMO the biggest problem we have is hunters who think they should be able to do whatever they want and everyone should agree with it. I'm not sure if you've noticed or not, but this all or nothing mentality isn't exactly working in our favor by gaining support from non hunters, is it? Maybe it's time to take off the blinders to take a look around and see that times are changing and hunters need to change as well.
Spear hunting (throwing) is likely the least efficient method with the highest odds of wounding an animal. Sorry, but I have too much respect for the animal to support such nonsense.
