I see that as a new stage for an IDPA match....

To be fair, if someone practiced this enough and could work out the short pause needed to fire effectively before moving into the next part I would guess that this could work. But it would not be something that came easily. And for many troops likely as not simply shooting rapidly with good aim would be a better skill to work on.

The rifle drills aren't that far gone, but the pistol stuff looks like he's practising for when he takes a burst to the chest.
