I've been on various websites but not sure if this exists:

870
3-1/2"
Marine
Metal trigger assembly.
Rifle sights (not an absolute must)

Does anyone know if this specific flavour exists?

Bonus question: Does the Cabelas.ca search engine not work? Or am I doing it wrong?

I don't recall ever seeing one
I have an express super mag 3 1/2 and in 2002 bought one of the limited run wingmasters super mag 3 1/2
Don't think they offered it in marine but could be wrong
Cheers

Thanks for the info, I think you're right from what I'm hearing here...

Thanks for the link...I'm probably going to have to decide whether 3-1/2 or marine finish is more important....

What are you intending to do with that gun?

If you want to hunt waterfowl then a 3-1/2" chamber is nice .... because steel shot takes up more space in the shotshell ... !! But then ... if you want to hunt waterfowl, you probably want to stay away from a Marine finish ... A shiny nickel plated gun will just warn the birds .... and tell them to stay far far away ....

And for any other use, I have never felt the need for a 3-1/2" chamber ..... 3" hurts my shoulder enough.

One other point .... if you opt for rifle sights ... I suggest to get an after market Monte Carlo stock and in order to achieve a proper cheek weld.
For myself, I realized that it makes a big difference .... and in order to shoot an 870 with rifle sights accurately ....

Thanks 0faustus0. I lost track of this thread. Love the finish on yours, that wood. Very nice.

I'm looking more for skeet/target shooting. I'm wanting 3 1/2 so I can put anything through it, not that I'm inclined to punish myself with the big shells.

Since this thread I started looking at the Benelli Supernova, which seems to be perfect. Would I like a little more wood? Definitely. But overall it's looking like a good option.

Don’t get hung up on 3-1/2”. It’s really not that big of an advantage in any scenario, plus the recoil is atrocious and the cost exorbitant for the meager gains over 3” shells.
