I'm new to your group but may be familiar to many of you. I am the marketing director for Knoxx Industries. I want to clarify our position regarding sales to Canada.
We would love to sell and ship all of our products to you and did so prior to 9/11. New regulations from the US Dept. of Commerce and State Dept. have severely restricted our ability to continue to serve your market. We are limited to shipping to R. Nicholls (our Canadian distributor) and then only for customers that they have identified to the State Dept. as end users. The licensing takes 3-4 months and costs about $200 in staff time for each one. It makes shipping to individuals far too expensive.
We hope that these restrictions will be lifted, but until that happens we must use the system as it allows.
I know that some have bought our stocks in the US and imported them themselves. You assume all liabilities if you use this method.
Our rifle and shotgun CompStocks should be available soon at your local firearms retailler.
