Specter Arms S2 stinger (mp5)

Greetings and salutations all,

I've been searching the forums but have not found any good information regarding the Specter S2 rifles. It's been mentioned in a few forums but no actual posts by owners. I'm looking for a 22lr MP5 and this seems to be the closest thing.

Has anyone purchased or shot one?

I have not purchased or shot one, but I handled one and talked to the owner of the company about the product at the Lumby gun show a few years ago. I was not very impressed with the rifle. It was expensive (about $700-$800 IIRC) and the quality of the non 10/22 parts (stock, sights, etc) seemed pretty poor. The owner admitted that he uses mostly airsoft parts. I think they would be better off marketing the receiver and letting people build there own, like Nordic with the AR-22.

BTW it is Specter Arms, not Spectre (which is a different US firearms company)

For a lot less money you could get a much more realistic replica of an MP5 in a BB gun or airsoft:
