I have 2 and a vise block all paid for. Planning a M4 style with a red dot and one with a freefloated handguard with a big magpul collapsible stock and a 3-9 scope.. :)

Will the next batch cover the rest of the pre orders? Just trying to gauge when I would get mine a little

The first two batches hasn't even covered the first evening of pre-order/sticker sales. I'm the morning of the 15th & I've prepared myself to not expecting anything for this deer season.

C'est la vie.

What kind of scope would you guys put on a 6.5 Grendel build? Target shooting and hunting. Thinking 3-9x40, keep it simple. Thoughts?

I wouldn't limit myself to the 3-9 range with options like 2-10, 3-12, 3-15 available. Seems like optics manufacturers have the technology to move away from 3-9 into different and more vetsitile magnification ranges. I have a 6.5 cm with a 3-16 as kind of a do-it-all rifle and that range fits the bill perfectly. Great magnification range and the physical size is compact anud unobtrusive.

If you can get more magnification for similar dollars and similar size and weight, why wouldnt you?

Doing Grendel as well, I'm going LPVO for lightweight hunting config, 400m max b/c its ballistics, so Leopold vx6 1-6, or vx5 2-10, their reticles are boring but good for hunting. All purpose so tempted to go Kahles 1-8, or Vortex 1-10

Nice responses, thanks. I don't know a lot about grendel, but have heard it can shoot some good distance even with a 16" barrel. I'll take a look at those options.

Follow up question, is checking head spacing necessary?

Yes! Also make sure you use a quality barrel and bolt. Using a cheaper parts might lead to extraction issues. Having incorrect head space can also cause extraction problems.

Thanks SBI. I saw that another retailer provides a sort of rental program for a head space gauge. I can purchase it and then return it, less $20. I'll go that route to be safe. I have a Faxon barrel and Tool Craft bolt ready to go on it. Should be a nice build, considering all the accessories are off my custom built 9mm PCC AR. Looking at a $3k rifle easy.

The bolt and barrel unit which I will be using headspace perfectly as a set. Both are quality components.
