Any problems with stress on the rear takedown pin? It seems like there could be shear between the upper and lower which would put a fair bit of stress at that point, at least I figured that's why AR-lowers had the curved up piece in the lower surrounding the buffer. Also, apologies if this has been asked before, but how does takedown work, especially with with endplate seemingly spanning between the upper and lower receivers?

Any interest in sending a sample to New Zealand? This would likely be legal to import as it can't be converted to semi auto or used on an AR lower/with an AR upper. The "parts" are fine as they are "part" of a bolt action rifle. The only caveat I could imagine is it would need a barrel that never had a gas port drilled in it.

Install an AR barrel and put the gas block upside down.

We are happy to work with a distributor in New Zealand to import these rifles. We will not be selling directly to individuals internationally.

This is low priority. You can just put your normal low profile gas block on backwards to block the gas port, or just run without even.

I would hope its low priority. I was just saying that you had mentioned it and if gas block are prohibited in NZ then it would be an option down the road. Right now you need to dedicate as much time to making receiver sets as humanly possible. There’s a vacuum that these will help fill right now. My plan is to either run the gas block backwards as you suggest or have my machine shop spin up a couple quick barrel sleeves to block it off.
