I'm planning on putting the spectre dr 7.62x39 optic on a kel-tec rfb and I'm wondering if the drop/velocity increments on the spectre would be the same when shooting .308 Winchester as opposed to the 7.62x39 that the optic was designed for..

I know this is more of a ballistics question but it still has a lot to do with the optic as well.

Any thoughts?

I think he means 7.62x51, not 7.62x39. Elcan doesn't make one fir soviet rounds.

Balistically you can consider 762 and .308 win identical. It's likely intended for 168gr, but the elcan website should be able to confirm.

Well that is excellent news... I was told that the spectre dr was for 7.62x39, and I couldn't be more happy to find out otherwise!!!
That pretty much solidifies it, when I get the Kel-tec RFB I will use the elcan spectre dr 1.5x6 and post some pics...

Thanks for the info...
