Spectre Superlite 10/22 Chassis

Terrific looking minimalist set-up, I want one. :)

Now, silly question here: how is that handguard secured to the rifle?

On your older chassis it appears that a pair of bolts on each side clamps the handguard to the chassis, but not on this one. What's holding that on there? Is it somehow attached to the barrel clamping piece?

The standard handguard attaches directly to the receiver using the factory threaded hole and a supplied #12-24 screw. It's not attached to the barrel.

The takedown handguard attaches the same as every other takedown handguard.

Ah, okay, thanks. So the handguard attaches in the same way a 10/22 stock does...and the chassis body itself attaches strictly by means of the two bolts that replace the trigger-group pins...and the two pieces are entirely independent of one another? It's possible to buy just the chassis, and then Bubba (raises hand here...) can then putz around doing a DIY handguard or two, admit that his work looks like crap and then buy your handguard later. :)

Any chance you would be producing alternative handguards, specifically shorter ones for ultra-short barrels? Save Bubba some time and grief...:)

The chassis and handguard can be purchased separately.

We have no plans on making different handguards.
