I recently purchased a GP100 and wanted to get a speedloader. because i have a gift card for a particular store, my options are between Hks Revolver Speedloader For S&W 586, 686, 581, 681/Ruger Gp100, Safariland J-Gl8C Comp Ii Speedloader and Safariland J-Gl8S Comp Iii Speedloader. Which one would yourecommend and why? Is there much difference between them? Thanks for any assistance.

i know these aren't on your list but i bought speedloader from five star reloaders. machined out of aluminum and have the same design as the hks. these seem to have a stronger way to retain the small detent ball. very nice. polished aluminum, black , or zombie.

Those sound nice--I'll have to take a look at them. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for all the advice, I've got a Comp 3 on the way.

"A" speed loader? They are like potato chips, you can't have just one!

The whole point is that they are used for fast reloads during matches. At least here in Canada that's their purpose. I don't even bother with them for casual shooting. But I've got about a dozen that I use for my competition shooting. One buddy has 3 dozen of them which he would load up the night before a PPC match and that would let him load all day at the match.

I'm not saying that you should get THAT many. But if you want to try your gun out in some competitions you'll need at least 4 to make it through any given course of fire depending on the game.
