Due to a recent impulse purchase, I have a S&W 686 (6 shot) on the way. Back in the day, my father was OPP and I have a few items of his, namely 3 speedloaders (complete with a number of live rounds-thanks dad!). Anyway, the ones I have are HKS 10-a. I gather from HKS that they aren't compatible with the 686. I'm curious as to why if anyone knows. The cylinder radius perhaps?

The model 10s were K frmame revolvers, The 686 is an L frame revolver which is slightly larger in the frame and cylinder, so the hole spacing is slightly larger.
