Are shotgun speedloaders legal in Canada?

If legal, are they available in Canada?

I've seen them for the Benelli M2, would that work on a SBE?

Any help would be great, Thanks!

Pardon my ignorance , but why would they be illegal?

Aren't they essentially external pieces that hold ammunition? :)

Just wondering....I've never seen them on the shelf anywhere. Didn't want to ask where to get them first and get a bunch of negativity about legality.
Also didn't know if they could be used for hunting.

Great!, they are legal to posses in Canada. Where are they available and Does anyone know if they make one for an SBE.

I guess I'll start looking at ArmsTec. Thanks so far!

Jeez, I've googled everything I can think of and can't find out where to buy these in Canada, can anyone give me some more info??

For hunting? No reason they couldn't, but you're usually restricted to having the gun mag plugged to 2 rounds only. I think you could toss in two rounds just as fast as you could with a speedloader anyway. What would be the point?

One reason is that they provide a convenient method of carrying extra shells, particularly when the gun can only hold 3. It is easy to strip two rounds at a time from the speed loader and thumb them into the magazine, and it is more comfortable than carrying shells in your pockets, particularly in warm weather.

Edited to add . . .
By the way, each speed loader (California Competition Works) comes with spacers so that they can be used with any 12 ga shell length up to 3".

Depends what I'm hunting. For some things (migratory birds), the mag is limited to 2, and for other things the mag can hold 5 (semi-auto).

Anyways, I still can't find a place that sells speedloaders for a Benelli.

Please clarify?
