So a guy is selling what looks like really old boxes of the 9mm Gold Dot 124 gr +P for $3/round.
Am I missing something? Is this old stock actually worth that much? Does it perform twice as well as the other Gold Dot ammo that's pretty easy to find for about a third of that price? Heck I just bought a couple boxes of 20 Sig Sauer 124 gr +P and I thought that was expensive at $1.35 per round.
I know most stores are sold out of this Gold Dot +P, but I'm seeing much newer stock with list prices for about $1.50/round. Still not cheap. I didn't get a reply from the guy about why his boxes of 50 rounds were $150.
So I'm not just trying to be a dink to drag the guy through the mud for charging 2-3 times what it's worth - if it's truly some holy grail collector level stuff - I just want to be educated about it.
