ey im unable to get Woodleighs so have to go elsewhere, i can get some Speer grand slam in 145gr, i kind of like this bullet but ive never used it.
can anyone give me any heads up on it for big game, ill be shooting out of the 7mm-08 , i normally use a 140gr woodleigh , its bonded an holds together real nice, an expands enough at close to 400m etc.

is the grand slam any better than interlocks an corelokts? or same thing? had a feeling the grand slam was bonded?

they are asking $42 per 50.... so can grab 2 boxes to tie me over a while?

alternative is 154gr interlocks at $76 /100

thanks!

grand slam is not a weak bullet. you should try some of them in a few jugs filled of water and see how they perform.

i do hope Geoff will put back all the bullets in production at woodleigh plant.

Grand Slams are good bullets, I used to use them in a 300 Wby for a while. In the 7mm-08, I really can't think of anything you couldn't kill with the 154 Hornady Interlock however. I would likely go with whichever of the two is more accurate in my rifle. - dan

Sweet!
Ok go the grand slams.

I also got into 140gr corelokt (plinking) and another box (of possible 3) 140g Woodleighs!!!

Awesome.

Now to find primers ..... capital city only almost

Grand Slams are a fantastic bullet in every caliber. They have a very thick jacket and the cores are poured in while molten which provides a strong lock. They open up fairly well and penetrate deep. Use with confidence.

Where are folks getting GS’s? Haven’t seen them in stores for quite some time.

Straya..... haha

i went for Corelokt Bondeds for now, an another box to stock up on the Woodleighs.......

grand slams are off my list now, i busted a windscreen in my vehicle.... so priority with money is not new bullets LOL
