Thanks to a buddy posting his new bullets I decided to cast some bullets today instead of working on my new house. Rain and soffit don't mix well.
These are 230 grain 253 dia RN bullets for my 45 acp. This pile of 1000 is about 2 days worth of fun.

This is the 20 pound lead pot.

These are the tools to keep it running smooth. Candle, sawdust, spout clean out, silver spoon, steel spoon and pliers to pick up hot stuff.

Doing all this because I can't afford to buy this anymore.

thank for the motivation DThunter.

Looks like a day well spent. I should have done the same as my 444 bullet stockpile is low, but the wife demanded work on the chicken coop.

My weather was much the same as yours since im down the road in 150 mile :)

Great job Tigrr!!!

I hope I am a good influence on you! LOL!

Great choice in bullets! I have casted those bullets for a few years for my 45ACP Carbine.

Just yesterday, I purchased a Lee two lube groove version mould of that bullet design!

I want to give the lyman lube sizer a try with these bullets.

I do not have a bottom pour pot, so it will be interesting when I have to refill the ladle for the back 3 bullets! Hopefully I can produce some clean bullets from it.

I hope my bullets drop at least .453" from my mould, like yours do.

LOL! I love casting, but every time a few bullets get shot, I start thinking about casting more again! A wonderful circle of madness! heh!

Here ia a few more bullets I casted a few weeks ago.
