this may seem like a stupid question, but where do you toss spent brass and shot gun shells? Can you just throw them in the garbage or is there anther way to dispose of them? I currently don't shoot at a range, it's done on private property.

Old brass must be disposed of in a secret process known only to some... You can send them to me and I will dispose of them properly for you :)

You can sell your fired brass. People on here will buy them. Sending them in the mail is no problem. .22 brass can be sold at any scrap metal place for a few pennies. Steel cases can go in the garbage, they're not worth the trip to the scrap metal place.

Some hulls you'll be able to sell too. Any with brass will probably sell. Steel won't.

Check the EE and see what stuff goes for, you may have been throwing out a lot of money!

Don't listen to him... They are very dangerous and may contain kryptonite, you should drop them all off at my house for safe disposal. I live in Thornhill. Also where are you shooting them? I hope not around Richmondhill!!!!!

Most brass can be reloaded multiple times, unless it has significant damage, so there are usually reloaders willing to buy or trade for some. Or you can take to a recycling facility. Some facilities have rules stating the brass must be melted down first, to remove the possibility of a live cartridgge or unfired primer getting in the mix and potentially exploding. I certainly would not want to be near some molten brass when a live cartridge bursts.

I recommend giving it to a reloader though. Might as well get some good use from it, then recycle it when it gets damaged.

if you want to come and get my spent brass, I will trade for a large timmies coffee. And no; no where near richmond hill. A friend of mine has a huge chunk of land in Innisfil we hunt on. (we being my brother and I) And this brass is .243, don't know if that makes a difference or not.

keep it all and let me know, I have been saving my .243 casings. buy you a couple of timmies next time I go to royal.
lol no question is a stupid question. just answers.
