spent svt 40 cartidiges

I fired my svt for the first time Friday.When I looked at the casings the neck of them had what i assumed powder marks running parellel down the length of the neck casings .The marks on the necks i would guess from the start of the rifiling grooves.Is this normal or does that indicate the brrel is still excessively dirty ?

yep fluted chamber. You can see it easily if you inspect the chamber with a light. Makes minced meat out of my brass so all my rifle sees is surplus steel cases.
