Spikes 18 inch upper SPR? opinions wanted

Like the title says, whats the thoughts on quality, build, accuracy on Spikes type uppers? The one im looking at is an 18 upper. Would be a long wait time, but im in no rush. How is the fit finish, quality and construction of these uppers? Dont know alot about Spikes, anybody have any of their stuff? Is it reliable? What tier level would it fit into for rough comparison, eg- what other manufacturer level would you say it matches? Thanks for any info.
 
spikes I think is a good manufacturer, the guys on ar15.com seem to like them, the barrels they use are hammer forged, park'ed under the FSB and so.... I would hazard a guess the quality would be equal to CMMG but from what I read spikes is using higher quality parts and getting them made to their own high spec's.... so quality is good.
 
anybody have them up here or are they still new? The barrel on this one is a Lothar barrel, Stainless 18 inch.
 
I have a Spikes Lower that i got from Questar, the lower has a great finnish on it. Very smooth. I am very impressed. If there work on the uppers is anything like this lower I think you will be very happy with it.
 
I don't know anything about the Spikes SPR, but when I do get one for myself, it's going to be the Centurion Arms SPR upper.
The reviews on them are exceptional, and the pedigree is pretty good.

When I eventually get the time and cash, I'll be ordering one.

I have Spikes lower/upper billet set on order (through Questar) for my next build. I already have their BCG/buffer/charge handle and I find the quality quite good.
