For my M-1895 Win, in .405Win I bought 300gr Hornady FP. They also sell a 300gr spitzer. I wanted to get some 300gr Barnes X but there were none available (at this time at WSS).
Which bullet would open up more, and conversely, which would penetrate deeper, between the FP and the SP?
Also, which do you prefer? I realize caliber, game hunted etc, is going to be an important factor.
