Hey CGN... I was looking at my M14 and its super bland OD Green paint job I did on it about a year ago and decided it was time for a change! I did some research and found all the different types of camouflage and decided to partake on the "A-TAC" camouflage! So after figuring out all you needed was some paint and a "Sea-Sponge" I was good to go! Another CGN'r and I do a lot of rifle and stock painting so we had a lot of arma-coat paint which is all we use on rifles. I then went to home depot and bought a sea sponge which I just ripped off small pieces and used that to dab my colour scheme on! The result was a not to bad looking "tacticool" A-TAC camo job! Let me know what you think!

Sorry for the crap pictures.... photo bucket has decided to fail most of my uploads ....piece of sh*t  I will try again later and load some close ups!

Awesome job!!!

The more I read you a-holes doing things like this it really pisses me off as I have a wood stock on mine :(
(that's jealousy talking)

Is it a chu wood stock or a walnut one? If its the norinco chu wood armacoat makes a primer that will seal the wood for painting

Hey man we have arma-fill and alot of paint! if you want to get it done let me know and we can work out a price! have stencils for multicam and digital camo as well! I free handed the A-TAC camo but can also do just one colour to!

Na it's just the Chu wood. I did easy off the factory stain and refinished it with Tung oil and I really like the new look but in the end it's still Chu wood. Thanks for the info, once I get board with it's current state I'll give your idea a try.
