Not criticizing, just wondering why you would put quick detach rings on a rifle with no open sights. Other scope options?

I gave it a try this morning:

Load was 56 of IMR 4350 under a 175 grains Sierra Match King:

3 - 3 shots groups= .660", .824", and 1.769" for an average of 1.08"

This thing is not only beautiful, it'll shoot!!!!

I had the lightweight in '06 23 years ago and loved it too. Have ever considered the Model 70 Lightweight Carbine in .30-'06 from the 80s??
