Just thought I'd post some pics of a project that I finished awhile ago. I purchased this Ross Mk3 sporter that was in major need of a stock make over; the wood was bleached out and the grain was raised, so much that the wood had the texture of a seashell. Because of this, sanding was necessary, 120 and 180 grit, followed by fine steel wool-really smoothed out the grain nicely. Two coats of Minwax Natural Stain and of Tung oil finally brought the wood "back to life". Great bore on this one, she's going to be my truck gun for deer hunting season.
